Library of the Early Mind at Harvard University, October 19
April 18, 2010
We are now setting up our fir
st screening of Library of the Early Mind at Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
The screening and panel discussion with the filmmakers and featured authors are being offered by the Askwith Education Forum, which is part of the Harvard Graduate School of Education.
Tuesday, October 19, 2010
5:30 to 8 p.m.
Free and open to the public.
Longfellow HallHarvard UniversityAppian WayCambridge, MA 02138
Appian is a short one-way street, and Longfellow Hall is the only building on the right side of the street. Askwith Auditorium takes up the center portion of the building on the level you come in on. If you’re looking for a place to stay, we recommend the Sheraton Commander because it’s just one block from the hall. If you are driving to the event from out of town, the Charles Hotel Garage is the best bet. (Parking meters in Harvard Square go until 8 p.m. now, so that’s not really an option.)
Here’s a link to a map of the area: http://map.harvard.edu/If you type “Askwith Lecture Hall” into the search, it will zoom in on Longfellow Hall and outline it for you.
Many thanks to Lolly Robinson and Roger Sutton of The Horn Book for helping to arrange this exciting event. The Children’s Book Shop in Brookline will be running a signing and book sale.
Because of limited seating, RSVP as soon as possible to Steven Withrow at stevenwithrow@yahoo.com.

I live in Montreal, Quebec, Canada and won’t be able to make the Cambridge Oct. 19th screening of the film. (As luck would have, I’ll be in Boston the first weekend in October). Is there any chance that you might host a screening in New York City or Vermont later in 2010 or even in 2011?
Carol-Ann,
We are currently setting up a number of screenings for late 2010 and 2011, with venues in New York and Boston and very likely Vermont as well. Please do watch the site and we’ll post more specific schedules for screenings as they become finalized…
I live in Salt Lake City and doubt anywhere in Utah will be on your tour. Is it possible that the documentary will be available online?
We’ll have news about making the film available online and on DVD in the next few months (probably won’t be until 2011). If you have suggestions for screening opportunities in your area, please email me at stevenwithrow@yahoo.com. We’d love to set something up at a library, university, school, or conference. Thanks!
I work for the children’s museum here in Salt Lake City and I know this is something we’d love to screen. I will email you!
Please put me on this site by email. Thank you.
