ChLA Screening at Hollins University — June 23
We’ll be screening the film for attendees of the Children’s Literature Association Conference 2011 at Hollins University in Roanoke, Virginia, at 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 23. This screening is not open to the general public, but it will be a great chance for us to interact with the academic side of children’s lit. Hope to see you there if you’ve registered!
Ohio State Screening — Friday, May 20
NYC Screening during Children’s Book Week
Our film will be a featured event during Children’s Book Week in New York City this May, with the sponsorship of the Children’s Book Council. This will be an invitation-only event, and we’ll post more details about it soon. We’re very excited to take part in this historic celebration of children’s literature.
Eric Carle Museum screenings – April 29 and 30
The Eric Carle Museum of Picture Book Art, which played an important role in the making of the film, will host two screenings at the end of April.

New England SCBWI screening – May 14
The New England chapter of the Society for Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators (NESCBWI) is hosting a screening and panel discussion as part of their annual spring conference, which includes keynote speaker Tomie DePaola and SCBWI executives Lin Oliver and Steve Mooser. **This event is for registered conference attendees only.**

The screening will be followed by a panel discussion with the filmmakers and two of the film’s local stars, Jane Yolen and Richard Michelson.
Princeton, NJ, screening — April 13
We’ll be taking the film to Princeton, New Jersey, on Wednesday, April 13, at 7 p.m. in the Community Room of Princeton Public Library. This free public event is co-sponsored by the Cotsen Children’s Library at Princeton University. The filmmakers will speak with the audience after the screening. Recommended for ages 12 and above.
Twin Cities screenings — March 27 and 28
The Metropolitan Library Service Agency (MELSA) in Minnesota has invited us to screen the film at two Twin Cities locations:
Sunday, March 27, 2 p.m., Minneapolis Central Library, 300 Nicollet Mall, Pohlad Hall
Monday, March 28, 6 p.m., Galaxie Library, 14955 Galaxie Ave., Apple Valley
Director Edward J. Delaney will speak to the audience along with other panelists (to be announced) at both events. More details are coming soon.
Baltimore screening — March 29
The College of Notre Dame of Maryland in Baltimore will host a screening of the film on the evening of Tuesday, March 29. The filmmakers will speak with the audience remotely via Skype after the screening. Time and location will be announced soon.
University of Tennessee Knoxville screening — April 2
As part of its first ever Conference on Children’s Literature to be held on April 1-2, The Center for Children’s & Young Adult Literature at UTK will be hosting a screening of Library of the Early Mind on Saturday, April 2.
A panel discussion with co-producer Steven Withrow and featured authors Jack Gantos and Richard Michelson will follow the screening. Time and location will be announced; the event is free and open to the public.
