Over the next three weeks we’ll be interviewing a variety of distinguished authors and experts.

First up will be Jack Gantos, author of the Rotten Ralph books and the Jack Henry and Joey Pigza series. Jack has won a Newbery Honor, and has been a National Book Award finalist.

Next we’ll visit Beverly Lyon Clark, professor of English at Wheaton College, whose work examines children’s culture and how children’s literature influences gender roles.

Our third upcoming interview will be with Gregory Maguire, author of the novel Wicked and The Hamlet Chronicles series.

And, later this month, we’ll visit Western Massachusetts to interview Lesléa Newman, author of books including A Letter to Harvey Milk, Out of the Closet and Nothing to Wear, and Heather Has Two Mommies. That same day we will be interviewing poet and author Richard Michelson as well as Nick Clark, chief curator of The Eric Carle Museum of Picture Book Art.
